“Instant Ronin” Double Tanto Carrying Clips

The co-designer of the “Instant Ronin,” Marten Koning, has also designed the optimal carrying solution for the knives. With the clips, which can be produced on standard 3D printers, the knives can be conveniently hung around the neck on a cord or attached to Cytac and Amomax-compatible mounting solutions such as MOLLE platforms, belt clips, and drop leg platforms. The "Cord" version of the clamp also works as a stand.

Please note: If you select "Digital Download ONLY" You will NOT receive the clips themselves. You will receive digital files so that you can 3D print them yourself.

When you place your order, you will receive the two print files. One .stl for a cord-mounted clamp, and one .stl for a tactical-mounted clamp (see examples of attachments in the images)

Material: We are printing the physical versions of these with PETG-CF (polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified reinforced with carbon fiber) 

The files will be delivered by email and can then be produced on most 3D printers using standard slicers.

If you selected "Physical Set AND Digital Download," you will get the files, and we will also ship you a 3D printed set made from our own 3D printers.

Print Instructions: 

These parts were designed with FDM printing in mind. Below are the recommended print settings:

- Place STL file on its side (not upright) into the slicer.
- Use PLA filament.
- 0.4mm Nozzle.
- 0.2mm Layer height.
- 5 Solid base layers.
- 5 Solid top layers.
- 2 Layer wall thickness.
- 15 % rectilinear infill.
- No support.

Following the above print settings will ensure the holding force of each clamp is as intended and optimized between retention and easy deployment of the ‘Instant Ronin’ set. Other materials and print settings are possible, but they will change the holding force. Feel free to experiment.

Legal notice:

Purchasing the STL files gives you the right to print the clamps for personal use. You are not allowed to resell the files or physically printed clamps or share them for free with others. The only exception would be if you decide to resell your Instant Ronin set and want to include your 3D printed clamps in that transaction. You are allowed to use commercial third parties to print the parts for you if you don’t own an FDM printer yourself.
